Club Description

Amnesty International is a global organization dedicated to protecting the human rights of people of all races, genders, sexualities, religions, and nationalities. LHS Amnesty focuses specifically on aiding individuals or groups whose human rights are under attack by writing letters to government officials or other influential persons of power. Outside of written persuasion, the LHS chapter of Amnesty International dedicates itself to making the student population of LHS aware of these injustices and actions that they can take to help those in need. LHS Amnesty is also known for its annual Jamnesty, a rock music competition event which helps raise awareness and funds for a different cause each year.
