Jamnesty Week - Political Prisoner of the Day - Mikhail Kosenko

Mikhail Kosenko was arrested after he took part in a Bolotnaya Square protest in May 2012 which turned violent. Video of the event indicates that Mikhail tried to flee the violence rather than contribute. The Russian courts sentenced him to life in a psychiatric institution. His appeal was rejected just last week. He’ll spend the rest of his life locked up for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Russian government is trying to send a message to its citizens to stop all further protests. Join us for Jamnesty Friday at 7:30 or visit our table at lunch to learn more and find out how to help.
